Executive Summary
In the first instance
The Applicant should submit a 2-page document that provides the scope of the investment opportunity that will present the proposition to SERVIUS and the lender in the best possible light so that it can be easily understood. Typically, this document should include the following elements:
1.1 Purpose of the loan
1.2 Loan amount required
1.3 Opportunity Rationale & Overview
1.4 Financial Impact/ROI
1.5 Executive Team/Stakeholders
1.6 Target Completion Date
NOTE: Although the applicant may already have a fully detailed and comprehensive business plan the purpose of submitting this Executive Summary is to test the initial appetite in principle. Clarity is key and “info-graphics” are welcome in support as inclusions so as to best express the opportunity. If the Executive Summary is insufficient to meet the criteria of this step then SERVIUS will reject it back to the applicant with feedback and advise of any addition, amendment and deletion recommendations in support of any resubmission.
Business Plan Submission
If invited to do so
The applicant should (if requested by SERVIUS to do so) supply SERVIUS a fully detailed and comprehensive business plan that will expand, support and evidence the proposal rationale outlined in the Executive Summary. It is accepted that the Applicant will understand complete business plan conventions and best practice in producing such a document and the critical content and ingredients that it needs to include. As a minimum this document should detail the following elements:
5.1 Forecasts and Cashflows
5.2 Schedule of Works/Project Plan/Operating Activities/Gantts
5.3 Milestone Register(s)
5.4 Risk(s) Register(s)
5.5 Exploitation & Commercialisation Plan/Exit Strategy(s)
NOTE: Where the Applicant can support their proposal with a variety of media i.e. video, brochures or any other digital assets then these would be welcomed in support of the Business Plan submission.
